Hallo Lena!

Hi, yea I have been making corsets for a while, am just working out the best way of making a pattern that I can up-load for one. Thank you for your comment. :)

Thanks for your kind comment on my shirt. I love the print but I’m still not thrilled with the style. I should have picked something that suited me better! I really like your version of Sabrina and agree that it’s good to see Plus size versions.

hi latjjardbai! Thanks for your comment in the forum…And yes, the duro dress is really great – totally versatile! I’ll send it through to the Burdastyle team as something we’d like to see, but if I get some time in the next month, I might knock up a quick pattern for it and make it my first pattern contribution :D It’s super easy to make!

Thanks for trying on the Dutch! Someone has translated for me in the forum. Why I attempt to sew patterns in other languages is a mystery! I guess I just really enjoy the unique designs from around the world!

Thanks for the supportive comment! I sewed the layers separately on the skirt, they are joined only at the bodice and zip. Also, I’ll pass on your post-it note dismay to the boyfriend!!

Hello LATJJARDBAI! I was wondering if you know Dutch? I am having a terrible time trying to translate all of the words in this: Stik het zijvoorpand aan het voorpand. Stik het zijachterpand aan het achterpand. Stik de schoudernaden. Strijk alle naden open. Herhaal bovenstaande met de voering. Stik de gilets langs de voor-, hals en onderkant met de goede kant op elkaar. Thanks for any help!

Thanks so much for offering the German translation. My biggest question deals with the side closure and front closure of the tunic Kleid. I think I have it because of the pics, but its still a little confusing. If you could summarize the directions for that, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks! http://www.burdafashion.com/de/Download/Gratis-Schnitte/1333669-1413206-1695158.html

oh no! i must have read your post wrong. i thought you made it FOR your mum. no, no…i meant to over-dye it for your mum. i personally love the bold color. i think it looks great. HONESTLY! don’t re-do it. i didn’t understand that you had made it for yourself. sorry about the confusion! keep wearing it with confidence! and i think you’re sewing is great. don’t question your skills. you’re doing great.

Thanks for your kind words – I’ll let you know when I’ve done the how-to! I love the name you’ve given the outfit for your mum – it really made me laugh when I read about it.

Hey latjjardbai! Thanks for letting me know about the Sabrina dress picture! You really did a great job on the fitting! I really do like the purple color combination of the fabric. What made you choose the combination fabrics? It just really seems like a fun dress!

Thank you very much for the offer! It took me a little bit to translate using my fancy translation book and my son, who is taking German in school. I will more than likely need your help sometime along the way. My husband’s family is of German heritage, surnames Tritsch and LOUSTEADT. He has been to Germany a couple of times and we are planning a trip in June or July 2010. I am not sure where we are going just yet, any suggestions?
