When do you come back to Canberra!!
Or do you know anyone here that I could partner up with to do a body casting? I’ve made so many things that don’t turn out cause of fitting issues.
How is your course and where to from there?

My course is great thank you! its really amazing and im loving it.
Im not going to be back in Canberra for a while because im saving my penies and also doing some work experience in the holidays.
I sadly don’t know many other seamstress’s in Canberra who aren’t at the TAFE there studying.
Have you ever thought about doing a Clothing production course? I did it there and they do a whole unit on fitting and that has helped me heapppps with doing it by myself (still making up toiles is boring and lame…)
I hope your sewing is going well _

Best of luck with the online voting category. You’re right up there.!!
I’ve been slack, I could have emailed 2500 people to get votes but couldn’t be bothered.
Guess what!! I just invented an amazing way to do a very tedious common sewing task. I can cut down time from 1 hour to 10 minutes and make the process far more accurate and professional looking. Off to the patent lawyers this week!

No problem at all :-) Glad to help. Two more sites (I have the memory of a tea strainer at the moment lol) Live journal http://corsetmakers.livejournal.com/ I’ve found a few bits here and there trolling through and http://bridgesonthebody.blogspot.com.au/ d3liriums4m4 posted the link in a post on the self-drafted corset, been reading through it most of today :-D

OMG – checking it (the corset) out now (…and to think only a few months ago a status update of yours was grilling the BS project posters who linked to their ‘for sale’ items – my how things change… for the better)

Thanks for your message! Actually, I can explain why you may not have ‘known’ me so far. I have been a Burdastyle regular way back, at the beginning but I also had an extended period of ‘down time’ probably starting two years ago. Over the past year, I’ve posted occasionally. I think I have come across your creations and I like their sense of fun. And it’s always great to meet someone els who enjoys pattern making. Keep up the good work!

Thanks! The paisley outfit is pretty crazy, but I love it. When I saw your avatar (blue hair, hot pink skirt) I knew I had found a comrade in bright-colored-ruffle adoration (not to mention great taste in hair color) ;).

Thanks, for the comments. I use to buy bags of ties for $3 at a local thrift store I usually got 25-30 ties per bag. I now have over 500 ties to play with….you get obsessed with things!

Hello again! I just took a look at comments on my retro brown dress and noticed a delightful new one, yours! My daughter wearing the dress is away at college but takes a look on here to see what’s up and she will love your comment. Thank you very much!

Thanks for the tips on the retro dress. Thank goodness I am still working on Christmas gifts and didn’t start my retro dress without your tips. I will measure before I cut then and make adjustments as you described. By the way, I love your creations, the plaid and black little number is just adorable! Happy sewing!

Hi Ruffles!
I just noticed you are back on Burda. How was your sewing course? Are you back in Canberra?
I have launched a new site toolsbyhollie.com and am running a sewing competition starting April1st. I’d love for you to enter.
Have you been to the meetup canberra sewing get togethers?
Hope to catch up soon, Hollie
