Hello kquade! Thanks for the kind words on my daughters sorority koozies! Also, thank you for noticing the detail in my description, you never miss a detail. I usually like to give as much information just for the reason you stated, so members know how to get the information needed if they want to make the creation. Talk to you again soon! Keep sewing with a smile!

Hiya, RE: Rocking Horse- Thank you, yes I did end up using a pattern, however once I had ordered the pattern the penny dropped as to how to do it. I used the pattern anyway, but it was pretty easy. I would say id send the pattern, but I don’t know where it is. I ordered it off ebay, from a man who makes them himself in America. The main body is just like a duck basically, you do the outline of a ‘duck’ then add a bottom bit in to make it 3D. Add the legs, rockers, rocker supports, ears, mane and tail. Im really rubbish at explaining, sorry. If that makes no sense, I shall try and explain a bit better.

hey kquade and the cute cat! i just noticed you asked about my felt cranes. well, they’re the simplest thing. instead of paper, i used felt squares, and just sewed the edges that keep it together… just like you said :) I used a blanket stitch, but you should experiment with different kinds of stitches.

thanks for your comment on the bag! it was a pain to put together due to some mistakes in the book for some of the dimensions…i think it’s interesting that you are hesitant about sewing an article of clothing and i am SO INTIMIDATED by sewing “things”! I guess our minds really do get in the way sometimes!
do you have any suggestions on how to get started in smaller bag/wallet type things? i want to make a little clutch-y type thing with a small handle for holding keys, phone, wallet when i don’t want to carry a bag. any thoughts?
aisling.

Just noticed your status says ‘wanting Adobe Photoshop… Pricey’. Is the student version too pricey? But alas you only get to use it for non-commercial purposes. It is a great learning tool and fairly easy to get if you are a student or are a parent of a student.

Thanks a lot for your comment - and again for the great how-to, of course! I actually think all of your bags and purses are great. So if there’ll be another how-to of yours (is there? :) you can count me in.

Thanks for the tips on the wrist pin cushion! I think I’ve got it. I have been trying (and that is a key word here) to drape a dress I have in mind, but the pin cushion at the neck of my form is too small and when my kids ask me a question… well, next thing I am picking up pins off the floor before I step on them. Have Fun Sewing!

Hello kquade! I was just wondering how little Larson is doing? My daughters are in college in the Atlanta area and both work with children near the hospital Larson is at. I emailed the information to them and they put him on their prayer list at their church there, so they are curious to know how he is doing. Let us know, Thanks!

I am new today to Burda’s page. I would like to print out your directions for the scrap thread bag. It says to print at home. I don’t have that option when I hit the print page!
Can you help?
I also would like to print the directions for the Itty bag, without the blog at the bottom of each page.
Can you help there also?
Thank you
