Yeah, whoever designed that dress didn’t know how to make a flattering bust and didn’t use the fabric print to its full potential. The best alteration ideas are always the simplest and prettiest. Hope your sister is enjoying her dress turned skirt.

im sorry, but there is no pattern for the bedsheet dress.. maybe you find a similar one.. like one of a shirt and just make it longer..

Thank you so much for your comments! If you really want to make a backless version of the dress from Atonement I can help… my first draft of dress was completely backless and I’m pretty sure I’ve still got that pattern draft in my files…. And YAY for people who learned to sew for their American Girl Dolls (I too destroyed the patterns… and somehow managed to make really sturdy dresses)

Hi, Kelsy!
Lovely to see you here. Thanks for waving at me! :) I just saw your recent creation…I’m off to comment on it. I’m not good at posting here often. I try when I remember. :)
Keep up the great work!
Blessings to you,
Carol
