  Vesna!!! How’s life treating you? Good to see you the site. I haven’t concentrated much on sewing lately besides the fact that I have a plenty of projects that I should complete before starting new ones, loads applications for art residencies and funding nothing really exciting… Keep well!

    Oh well… I’ve been deliberately keeping myself away from the sewing machine and internet, so that I can concentrate more on my studies, but I’m not sure how successfully that went :) Besides that my cat managed to jump out of our window and lend herself eight floors below – luckily without any really serious injuries, but yet enough to keep me running between home and a vet for a whole month. But finally everything’s ok.
    Right now I’m so into sewing (again), although I still haven’t finish my other obligations. Probably gonna spend the whole summer working on my final exam, but oh well.. it’s sure gonna be loads of fun :)

  pozdrav, jako mi se svidja tvoj rad :) pa te dodah u frendove, nadam se da je to ok :) nego … posto sam pocetnik u sivenju interesuje me gde nabavljas materijale???? ja sam jos uvek pocetnik, pa za sada koristim samo maminu staru odecu … ili neke stare materijale sto vec imam… da ne upropastim nesto skupo :D

  i da, hvala za link za japanski mini recnik, odusevljavaju me svi njihovi rucni radovi, i bas mi je zao sto kod nas ne mogu da se kupe (ili naruce) njihovi casopisi sa snitovima :/

  hey Vesna!! for my marie skirt beside adding the pocket I did the following:

  On the hem part I didn’t do it as the instructions said, I’m shorter (about 8 cm) than the height that the chart size says so I didn’t cut the third part that is the hem part (I think). I shortened my skirt when I finished, tried it on and marked the desired height; and then just did a simple stitch on the hem; so I think that is why it doesn’t look so narrow on that part, because it isn’t jijiji.

  I didn’t made it so high because I made one before (that got burnt by the iron, oops) that was my suposed size according to the size chart and I always felt that it made me look shorter, so the waist on this one was actually lower (just a bit) than the first one I made and much more confortable, making it a bit high than my average skirt but not as high as the original marie is supposed to be.

  For the bulkyness I sewed it a bit narrower on my hips (not that much just like 3mm more on each side, so now that I think about it not sure if that helped). you are so right so many look quite bulky and it is indeed a bulky skirt but I think that if you iron the pleats well (I aldo did that) it can reduce a bit the bulkyness. I think thats all.

  So, I was wondering if you could tell me what you did to the bottom of your “Danielle” dress? It’s SO cute, and I am trying to do a similar upgrade to the pattern…but am having a trial with the shaping of the skirt! Thanks so much! :)

    Well, there’s only few minor changes. For start, since I didn’t use zipper I cut back panel in one piece instead two. Also, skirt is made of two layers of fabric – embroidered ribbon is sewed on the hem of the first layer, the second layer is a little shorter so that lace could peek out. And that’s about it. Hope I was helpful :)

  Vesna, drago mi je kada ovde vidim mlade ljude koji se sivenjem bave iz hobija, zaista se obradujem kad vidim kako su im lepi radovi i koliko zele da napreduju i novog da saznaju.Ti si jedna od njih!Radeci kao nastavnik prakticne nastave u tekstilnoj skoli, trudila sam se da sivenje briblizim mladima kao nesto lepo i zanimljivo, a naravno i korisno! Puno pozdrava!:)))

  E bok…imam jedno pitanje…upravo sam kupila materijal za prsluk…nešto mi nije jasno…; dali mi podstava treba biti manja za cca 1 cm po cijelom prsluku? Ne znam da li me shvaćaš…ne bih htjela da mi se vidi podstava na području pazuha i ramena jer mi ja podstava ful svjetlija od vanjskog materijala…pa pretpostavljam da mi glavni materijl treba biti veći za cca 1 cm…kako bi se taj cm preokreunuo skupa sa podsavom na unutarnju stranu?

  Znam…ni meni baš nemaju smisla ove rečenice ali neznam kako bi ti inače opisala što me zanima? Me kužiš?

    Hej Antonija,
    kod mene su postava i prednji deo iste veličine, ali ja sam namerno koristila kontrasne boje tako da me nije mučio isti problem kao tebe. Obzirom da se deo oko pazuha kroji polkružno, mislim da ti neće pomoći da prednji deo iskrojiš nešto veći jer nećeš moći da ga lepo presaviješ na unutra. Jedino što mi pada na pamet je da na postavu našiješ glavnu tkaninu, tako da ti se unutrašnji deo sastoji od postave i polukružne trake od glavnog materijala na delu oko pazuha. Zvuči konfuzno, nadam se da razumeš na šta mislim :)

    Čuj, meni je kao osnova poslužio neki dečiji prsluk iz prošlogodišnje decembarske Burde, model 143. U suštini izabrala sam dečiju veličinu koja se najviše poklapala sa mojim obimom grudi, i onda sam ga žešće skratila i suzila u struku :) Et voila! Ako ništa drugo, tu imaš detaljne instrukcije.

    Nadam se da sam ti pomogla bar donekle. Javi kako je sve ispalo!

  Haha…točno znam taj osjećaj kad se ima para i kad se nakupuješ materijala tek tako da ga kupiš…a nema sevremena za napraviti jenad šav…:)…samo što je kod mene problem što se onda ne mogu ni odlučiti što sašiti…imam i ja par materijala doma ali sam jednostavno neodlučna…

  Veselo ti šivanje želim…i jedva čekam tvoje slike…:)

  Imaš li još uvijek problema sa uploadanjem slika? Ja sam neki dan išla uploadat i stalno error 500…i primjetila sam da kad idem uploadat 4 ili više slika uvijek mi se to pojavi…a kada uploadam manje uvijek mi je sve ok…možda je i kod tebe isti problem…

  Ej…hvala puno na svim komentarima…da da burda 11/2008 rocks!!! ;) Što se korzeta tiče…šantung svila sama po sebi je dosta čvrsta pa prema tome idealna za korzete ali da…svaki dio sam još poljepila flizelinom. To je valjda obavezno za korzete nisam sigurna…pretpostavljam da je jer ful ojača materijal. Imam još jedan…uploadat ću ga čim mu napravim rupice jer ih još nisam dala napravit. Čak je i bolji jer sam ga produžila sa strane pa se kukovi ne otkrivaju…i izgleda puno ljepše takav…e da još sam i fišbajn koristila (plastičnu žicu) koja spaja svaki dio pa onda ispadne dosta čvrsto.
