You have just the most adorable sense of style! I hope you wear your dresses out in public, because it’s so nice to see other young people wearing and making fifties and sixties dresses.

Thanks! I do wear my stuff in public actually, but I live in the middle east where people wear unusual stuff anyway…..!

Thanks for posting the pattern picture on your retro dress. That dress is just so awesome and being able to see where the design comes from puts it all in perspective. Happy sewing!

Thank you so much for the information on the Regency dress. I’m about a little bit bigger than you are in the bust/waist so I’ll know to scale it a couple of inches extra. As far as the sleeve being so tight- that’s the Regency style. Really small backs and therefore really tight sleeves. You have to do all the gathering of the sleeve at the back so that you have enough room to dance.

I can’t wait to see what you make next. Your work is wonderful!

I love your Regency dress and have made a Regency dress myself using Sense and Sensibility’s pattern (I used the simplicity printing of it) as well as Regency under garments. I was wondering if you could share the sizing of this dress you made once it was scaled up?
