Hi thanks for your post on my wall. I have only been back sewing a couple of months and like you I am teaching myself over the net. I cut the pattern for the dress and trousers off existing garments. I learnt this off you-tube,by overlaying tissue paper on the garment and marking the seams. I plan on making some more little bloomers soon so will put up a how to, they were easy to make B0). For inspiration i would also have a look on you-tube for threadbanger who post great little projects and junky-styling, happy sewing.

Check the size of your pics, maybe they are too big and need reducing. i use photoshop to make my pictures smaller but there are lots of other ways to do it. I’m afraid I know more about sewing than computers! Also, maybe contact Burdastyle direct for help. Good luck!

I started by word of mouth, then passed a sheet around at a scout meeting. Those girls spoke to friends, and soon I had 10 young ladies wanting to learn to sew.
Hope this helps a bit
