tired of transferring a pattern on the fabric, i left it for over a year.. but i made it!
it was a christmas present for don.
the pattern is from the japanese book “CHECK & STRIPE みんなのてづくり”
it’s supposed to be a tie back, but i put a gold button and made it longer for a tunic with pockets.
the pattern was a bit intimidating at first, but i think it came out ok. easy summer dress.
modified the pattern into a-line, instead of that slim waisted, vintage look.
i’ve been into bows lately! and navy blue is my favorite..
i modified the pattern for a front tie bow, and added a ruffle on the bottom.
found a remnant of vintage cotton, and wanted to whip up an easy summer top.
