Just gorgeous, where did you find this amazing fabric? Kudos to you for spending the time to line up the pattern – your work has really paid off in the impact this dress has.

Roselan, sadly you won’t find many nice, cheap fabrics in Australia. You can find some cheaper ones online at US and European stores (Emma One Sock, Britex, Elliot Berman) but postage prices gener…

Are you looking for supplex? It’s generally used for yoga wear and is stretchy, firm and wicks sweat. Try ebay – it’s the only place I’ve ever been able to find it online in Aus, and then only fro…

josephina commented on the forum topic Please help!

Have you considered adding a separate underskirt? Not sure if it would work, as it’s hard to see a lot of detail in the dress, but I’m just thinking that would be the simplest way. The tapered fr…

josephina commented on the article Sail Away: 6 New Plus Size Patterns

I am plus size (on the bottom half in particular), and a lot of these designs would work well for me, although they would need adjustment. I can never buy ‘plus’ size clothes in stores because the…

The dress looks fantastic. Did you have to make any alterations for a strapless version, or is the elastic insert at back enough to keep it up? I’m about to make a summer version of this one myself.
