Esett egy picit :) Nem maradt semmi hó. NY nagyon jó volt! Bementem a BS iródába varrni! I met some lovely people, it was a nice trip.

I have never been to Budapest. But I know this is a beautiful city!!! I’m moving there for my husband’s work. I’m planning to learn Hungarian or English and also I’d love to learn beautiful embroidering:) Have a great weekend!

Hi! I love your creations! You have a really beautiful style:) well I’m going to move to Budapest on next year. It’s so exciting! I’d like to know, where do you buy the fabrics? Thanks for the inspiration!
Oct 30, 2010, 07.54 PMby jodika
That is exciting!! Budapest is a great city. What will you do here? Have you been here before? There are quite a few fabric stores on the Nagy körút (big ring road) between Blaha and Oktogon. There is also a big fabric store I really like on Rákóczi út close to Keleti.

Jul 19, 2010, 02.09 AMby jodika
Hey,
I couldn’t find any fabric stores! I looked and looked but didn’t see any. It was really nice to have a wander around Novi Sad though – it’s really beautiful.

Yes it works wonders. I usually put a cup (the designated amount is usually written on the bottle) in the washing machine but when it concerns a piece which I want to soften excessively I usually double the amount and let the piece soak in the solution for a day.
Apr 11, 2010, 06.23 PMby jodika
Thanks for the info! Do you have to use fabric softener every time you wash it, or is just soaking it the once ok?
Apr 11, 2010, 06.40 PMby sewella
Well I wouldn’t have an exact reply to that! It depends on the fabric (i.e. the threads of the fabric) its elasticity, etc. You will have to try it for yourself and see what works the best. For this tunic I will certainly use the softener for the first couple of times and time will show if I have to use it in future. Usually this kind of lace for the tablecloths is quite stiff and requires a softener every time it is washed. Because the primary aim of tablecloths is to lay stiff on the table and not to be worn by enthusiast like me :)

sorry to hear that, de-interfacing anything is never fun…here’s sending good sewing wishes your way!
Dec 3, 2009, 03.48 PMby jodika
you’re so sweet! you made me smile :)
this stupid interfacing keeps ripping into small pieces – it’s taking a long time to get it off…

That cape looks fantastic. Did you pick the fabric? It looks just like the capes at Opening Ceremony.
