Hello Again JoBoenvogue. So glad to hear you’re feeling encouraged, as well you should since you’re doing such good work. Even though the friends and family aren’t that supportive, they will start noticing the lovely things you make as time goes by, and they will be proud of you. But, if they’re not into sewing or the process of creating, they’ll only want to see the finished project. That’s normal though, so don’t be bummed. Now that you’re in the zone, you’ll start noticing people and opportunities that will feed and support your creative side. I know that when I sew, write, or work on art I like to be alone. BUT, I do need and crave those times when I can meet with other creative souls and “get all deep and philosophical” about the process and the pleasure of creating. Other creative people understand the work you’ve put into something, even if that “something” isn’t perfect. All the very best to you;)

hi just wanted to say thank you for your novice video on draping> I was asked to make a prom dress for a young lady without much time to make it. The gown has a lot of ruching around the bust and waist area. I was not able to find a pattern, but after watching your video you gave me courage to try it without a pattern. I am hoping to share a pic with you soon. I am really loving how it’s coming together..Please post more videos on your finish gown. I am adding you as a friend. Keep up the good work.

Keep me up to date on your dress, I’m excited to see th results! My prom is in two days and I have yet to finish the dress, but have no fear! Pictures will be up sometime next week—and be sure to check my blog. I update it more often :)
