The jacket would be okay, of course. However, some office rules frown on sleeveless garments, so those would not be formal enough for some professions. I’m just surprised that no one apparently …

jenss-1 commented on the article The Tourist: 13 Comfy-Cute Sewing Patterns

I was bitten by one of those baby alligators when I was a kid. Believe me, it hurt like hell. I don’t understand why the animal is in the photo, and the model must have been worried about those i…

Cute for summer. Except the bootcut overalls, which are a crime.

I’m happy to see the shorts and basic tank patterns. I won’t be doing them in sequins, but I hope that Burda offers more casual p…

I’ve had a BSM subscription now for some time, and so I am quite used to the patterns. Mostly I don’t even bother following the instructions. Now, for the first time in a long time, I’m working o…

jenss-1 commented on the forum topic rotary cutter or not?

There always instances when scissors will be needed, but a rotary cutter can be useful. I mainly only use mine for cutting things like bias strips, for which it is quite useful. I think that the …

It’s hard to say – it depends upon the weave and finish. What type of fabric is it?

jenss-1 commented on the forum topic Trouser/pant material

The directions say “lightweight trouser fabrics with some body.” That’s not very precise! Too lightweight would be a problem, but I think the key is to avoid heavy or bulky fabrics, like melton, …
