I think that MrsCharisma is referring to the pdf instructions that used to be publicly available for each pattern. I noticed that they seemed to have disappeared recently too, which is unfortunate…

jenss-1 commented on the forum topic Trouser/pant material

The directions say “lightweight trouser fabrics with some body.” That’s not very precise! Too lightweight would be a problem, but I think the key is to avoid heavy or bulky fabrics, like melton, …

Make a habit of doing a quick brush-out of the bobbin compartment before starting a new project.

That’s interesting – I hadn’t thought about the feed dogs. I have a number of feet, but I was particularly interested in lap seam/flat felling feet recently. Not critical, but maybe nice to have….

I’m not sure how a computerized machine is different than a manual, but depending on the brand of your machine, you might be able to get a buttonhole foot with measured markings on it. For example…

I made so many of the patterns from this issue. One of the best “collections.” I think it was originally branded as “Italian” and I wonder why it’s now Havana. Just curious.

Do the prongs bend? If the do, maybe the dome could be attached like stud to the top of a covered button? Or, if it’s possible to punch slots into the metal shank part of a covered button kit, ma…

I haven’t seen these, but is it possible that there is a base or something that the prongs are designed to fit into? I’m thinking of buttons that have a dome top, but then they are glued to anothe…
