    Hey, thanks for your comment on my envelope clutch bag. I’m sorry you didn’t find the instructions very clear for the zip – its the first (and only!) pattern I’ve ever made, and I don’t really know all the technical terms, so I found some bits quite hard to explain (in a way that made sense to anyone other than myself anyway!!) If you have a look at steps 2, 3 & 4 of my How to make a travel wallet it shows pictures of a very similar process which might make it a little easier to understand!! It would probably be easier to do it by sewing one piece of fabric to either side of the zip, then hand sewing the two pieces of fabric together at the ends, then you can trim it down to the size you want. Hope this has helped a little (and I haven’t just confused you more!!), would love to see some pics of the bag!! Stick at it – I know my first attempts at sewing didn’t go that smoothly either =)
