I sent an email to many of my friends letting them know of the contest and asking them to vote for the best dress hoping that they would pick mine. I’m assuming that others in this contest did the same. Maybe when everyone got on and saw your dress they picked your dress as the best. I personally loved it and am proud to have lost to it. Keep your head up and keep sewing.

Thanks Kristin, that means a lot to me! And you haven’t lost yet! They are having judges pick a winner next week, good luck!

I thought your dress was beautiful, even voted for it. Ignore the jealousy of others. I personally hope to be able to make something this nice someday. ; )

Thanks Katiebug!
The dress was super fun to do, the instructions on Burnina.com are really easy to follow. I’m sure you’d have no trouble with it. The great thing about it is that you can use an old scarf or sarong or get some at a thrift shop so it’s inexpensive and you can keep experimenting.

The fact that someone would post directly on my wall and accuse me of cheating is downright deplorable and if you don’t think my dress is the prettiest one keep it you yourself. I can’t speak for others but the good manners and common decency my mother taught me also apply to the internet.
I suppose many people are waiting for my responce in regards to the voting for the Scarf Dress Challenge. I will say here what I e-mailed to Burda Style; thank you for the opportunity to enter such a contest and that I am not now nor ever have I cheated.
I entered the challenge in good faith the same as everyone else and asked my friends and family to see what I had made and vote. I’ve watched as some entries were overlooked and also as someone(s) chose to victimize my project in either an attepmt to have it disqualified or maybe a misguided bid to help. I know nothing of it and neither does anyone close to me. I have also sat by and observed the insinuations of wrongdoing and attacks on my personal character from the blog and now a post directly to my page. It is rediculous and unfair but I will not resign from the site or ask to withdraw my contest entry when I have done nothing wrong.
I would like to thank everyone who has been supportive and left nice comments about the dress or added the project to their favorites, it means alot.
