  Hello! I just discoverd that you are from Porto. I visited Porto for one week at the beginning of this november. I am a self-taught sewing novice too. In this one week I visited feira dos tecidos at rua de cedofeita three times :) I ended up bringing home 5kg of fabric…they really have nice fabrics and the prices (especially the ones from the boxes at the right side of the store) are quite cheap compared to the stores we have here in germany.
