  My dogs say Thank You! They are brothers we adopted when their mom came into the shelter and to everyone’s surprise gave birth to a litter of puppies. WRT posting comments that sometimes I am logged in, have written a comment and hit the post button, burdastyle kicks me back to the login prompt and totally loses my comment. Bummer as I tend to be a bit wordy. :)

  Hello again! It is me, Sew4my3! Thanks for the compliment on “Gwen’s Summer Dress”! How is it that you can tell my creations from others? Is it because you reconize my daughters or something else? Also, wanted to let you know that yes I am enjoying my job very much! It is really a dream job. My whole life revolves around sewing! Ha-ha

  Hey Hooley! Sounds like your pretty busy with work and life! You had asked what my daughters were studying in college. Well, the answer is education. One is planning on being a high school english teacher and the other a science and math teacher. I have been so proud of them! They had come home to visit last week and it was wonderful! We had a week of facials, massages, shopping and sewing. I have posted a couple of new creations as a result of that week, such as pillows and a costume. I will be posting a cute summer dress tomorrow. Anyway, just wanted to get back to you and let you know that I had been busy with my girls and not ignoring my friends. Talk to you soon!

  Hi Hooley!..Hope your winter is mild,but getting much (im sure) needed rain. Be sure to post your tea towel bags…and if you find fabulous towels, I’m movin to Sydney lol…You will find that the bag goes together fast. The towel eliminates the need for lining since most are woven, but I kind of liked the inside pocket anyway so I am using fabric. The outside ones are not tight enough to hold cash etc. IMO…..sew long for now, Carolee P.s. You’ve been busy! all looks great.

  Hi Hooley and thank you on the lovely comment! The beading of the top was done by hand following a pattern. The beading at the front is more elaborate than on the back because I thought it would be more attractive and not overdecorated that way. I am really glad you like it! Thank you again!

  Hey Hooley! How have you been? I haven’t talked to you in a while, it is always good to hear from you! I wanted to say, “THANKS” for your always kind words on another dress for one of my many nieces! I am finally down to 2 more little dresses and a couple of backpacks for the nieces and nephew’s and then I get to work on some adult clothing for my daughters! My daughters are in need of two black A-line skirts for a sorority event. This should be easy! They are coming home next week from college, I can’t wait!   Hello again Hooley! Thanks for the great comment on my niece, Ashlyn dress! As for having a dress form, I didn’t get mine until Christmas about 4 years ago and it is great for fitting people who can’t be there when your ready to do a fitting (like 4 in the morning). Anyway, take a look around ebay you may be surprised at what price you might be able to pick one up for. Talk to you soon!

  Thank you for commenting on my bow ties. I know I made it sound like a difficult adventure, but I really did enjoy making them! I just had a few lessons to learn about the process since I’d never made bow ties before. I know I’ll be making more, and now that my husband has seen them he is asking for some in special fabrics. Also, if there is another fund raiser next year, I will surely participate. Thanks again and all the best!

  Hi, glad to hear your pasha-bulka feedback! i thought it would be fun to put me in that “historical” event and see who had heard of my city at that time. It was almost a shame when they took it away lol, and there’s now a sign up called Pasha Lane and thankyou for your encouragement! I think this site is especially encouraging my sewing! It definitely makes me want to finish projects faster :)

  I am glad you like my Edwardian Twist. I hope my husband likes it! I got Wal-Mart sheets because they cost the same as thrift store sheets here. I was so shocked when I went to 3 different thrift stores and the prices were so high. I did get 2 sheets for less at St. Vinnies. but that was it. I will be making an outfit with those soon. It is fun working with sheets. I think you’ll like it if you try it! Let me know when you do.

  well, as of right now i’ve got several projects underway. i drafted a purse pattern and would love to upload it but don’t have the PDF software or photoshop so that’s currently on hold. I’m about to upload a zipper installation how-to for the itty bitty bag, tho. so lots of stuff on my plate! what about you?
