i am a designer, maker and teacher. i am slowly trying to make my entire wardrobe and have sworn off buying clothing made in sweatshops. my first book, Design-It-Yourself Clothes: Patternmaking Simplified, was published in 2009. i teach sewing, patternmaking, crochet, embroidery and other textile arts both in brooklyn and upstate NY.
