I do my sewing on the cheap; I download free patterns and I use up scrap lengths of cloth and odd balls of wool, while sewing everything by hand. My work has a decidedly vintage flavour, mainly because I like those styles, but also because my second-hand sewing manual dates from 1935! My knitting patterns range from the 1920s to the 1940s ....
