Hey Hannnc,
Do you have a blog? I’m just starting one up for 2011 to try and motivate myself to get photo’s of my stuff up on the online sewing community hub!
Would love to see yours if you do!

Hello lovely Meggie-moo, i actually don’t have one! I’m not sure really where to go about getting a site but it would be fun to upload ideas and themes to motivate more projects! I’ve been working a lot this holidays but i’m pretty free this month, hoping to add a lot more soon!
Give me the link to yours when you start it up, might inspire me to do one!

Hey chicky!
It’s nice to see another beginner on here from Aus!
Keep up the good work – I really love your creations thus far and you’ve inspired me to post up some photo’s of what I’ve managed to create.
xx

Hello, thanks for your comment on my slouchy blouse jacket, which I have just noticed ( sorry but I don’t check the site often enough…) I don’t have pattern pieces with me right here but I remember pattern pieces are: 1x the back ( cut on fold), 2x the front ( it is with self-facing to fold at fold line) and the neck facing, but sounds like you have solved it anyway, I am looking forward to seeing your blouse!

thankyou, my reply is late but I actually read this a few moments after you posted it! I just wanted some confidence before i cut and ruined my material.
All is good, it’s coming along (slowly.. i have exams!) Just have to go buy buttons and it can be up soon.
Thanks!!

Hi! Thak you so much for your comment on my cowl-dress! I’m looking forward to seeing it on you ;-)!

hello. thanks for your comment. i agree it must be the older patterns that dont make much sense. i think they were translated out of German. Most of the time i just thought about how any other coat would go together. i didnt have to line this one which also made it easier. also you’ve done a coat before!! so this Jorinde should make some amout of sense. oh well. good luck!

Hi Hannnc! That’s for commenting on my Laura dress, I’m so glad you like it. You should definitley have a go yourself (although I am sure you project list is as long as mine, hehe!) when you finally get to it feel free to message me for any advice, I look forward to seeing your version :)

Hey thanks for the comment on my dress and headband – I just used a smocking kind of technique on the headband, 3 simple loose stitches about 4mm apart, then I pulled the threads on each side to gather that area!

arigato comment on my camisole:) It was very easy, I didn’t read instructions when I made it. I think japanese is very difficult to learn. katakana, hiragana, kanji,,, just complicated!! but I hope you enjoy learning it;) have a great weekend!

Maybe I’ll try lining a purse or something first…keep it little, and way hidden! (: Though, at the rate I’ve been sewing, my coat would be done just in time for the cold weather!!

thanks for your comment about my vest! I know what you mean about lack of time – I’m back home for uni holidays, and it’s the first time I’ve sewn in months! I really love the green dress you had made, it’s beautiful! So is your Minna, I’m looking for some fabric to sew it too :)

Thank you for the comment! I like the belt, too. My mum gave it to me. She didn’t keep a lot of the clothes she wore when she was my age, but some belts have survived : )

Ooh lining – how scary! (: I don’t think I’ll tackle that one just yet. Give my skills a bit of time to grow! Thanks for your comment on my skirt! And if you like, you can play around with the style without making a skirt! (I know that kind of skirt isn’t for everyone!) It also looks awesome as a tote-bag! I have a ton of totes made that way! (:

Hello Hannnc! I noticed one of your comments that you were trying to get a grasp on lining garments, so I thought this might help. Go to Threads-Jacket Lining. Happy sewing!

Did your “ave0000 problem” get solved? Burda sure fixed whatever the deal was for me! Happy sewing!! (-;
