thanks for your reply. I recently hale from Buckie on the Moray Firth coast, now living south of the border !A At first my husband wore a white tuxedo ( like Humphrey Bogarde ! ) and I wore a full length gown . Then he purchased a military uniform ( from the market ) and loved to wear that ! I have seen men wearing wider trousers with turn-ups and fairisle sweaters— or golfing style sweaters, waistcoats. Look for accessories like ties, cravats — two tone shoes ! In case he doesn’t fancy the full rig-out ! I am celebrating Burn’s night tonight with my English neighbours !! I have added you as a friend ! Strange about the cats !!

May 13, 2010, 07.02 AMby kaitui-kiwi
I think after 2 or 3 years you can consider your collection complete and cancel the subscription, they repeat after that, same pattern just newer fabric, I’ve already seen double ups for patterns and I’ve barely got 1 years worth!
Apr 13, 2010, 12.04 AMby almatinka
By the way, I am fine – although no time to sew anything worth mentioning is driving me nuts! :-) How are you? :-)
Mar 12, 2010, 02.28 AMby kaitui-kiwi

Hih hi, I had a look in some tailoring books at the library, but also there is Gertie’s blog heaps of info on coats, she made lots of posts when she did her’s so have a look there and see if it helps you out :) http://www.blogforbettersewing.com/search/label/coat You won’t need that much specialist equipment just a bit of time and patience
Mar 9, 2010, 08.31 AMby kaitui-kiwi
I was going to message you to see if you had your burda Jan yet cos I don’t have mine either, I feel like I have missed a whole month out! Anyway, I usually get it around the 12th so maybe next week…I wrote a little blog about the new Patrones here: http://burdastyleclubs.ning.com/profiles/blogs/patrones-289-february-2010 I just used the ning page cos I don’t have my own blog, maybe I should start one…anyway, it is pretty awesome! So you want to make a coat? I think they are easy, when I made my Hikaru it was my first coat and I didn’t find it too hard, and the Stella pattern was easy too, if you get stuck I’ll be happy to help :) I want to make a trench coat for this winter, might try and find some fabric for it this weekend…let me know :)
Mar 9, 2010, 10.53 AMby gillthecat
