I have been making things to wear for as long as I can remember. My mother sewed quite a bit, and her sewing machine was actually in my bedroom as I grew up. There was no escaping. It seemed that whenever I wanted something that we couldn't afford, my mother would tell me 'you could make that'. I 'd ask how, and she would reply 'you just do it'.
