Hey frankiesoup, everytime I see your avatar it reminds me on my cat called Amy. She lives with my mothers wich is on the otherside of Germany. So I can only see her on holidays… You have nice creations! love them ;O)

Sorry for taking so long to reply. You’re right about the method for making the tiered petticoats – use longer and longer strips to gather for each layer. The first layer in mine is actually a circle, but I think I’ve seen instructions on the web or elsewhere that use a rectangle piece for the first layer as well as subsequent layers. I based my design on the instructions on the website below because my niece does a lot of twirling in her rock and roll dancing and with the circle the first layer really flies out as she spins. I didn’t use the exact measurements on the website — I modified it for a ten year old’s sizing.
