Hey there guys, I’m not sure if this is the right forum or place to post this but its along the same lines. This past week I decided I wanted a new jacket for a wedding this past weekend since it would be an afternoon affair and I had nothing appropriate. I decided to try a burda pattern. I sewed up the jacket in a cotton and linen blend which I dyed a mint color to match the wedding colors. The pattern went together well, BUT I found the sizing to run too small (and yes I went by the finished measuremtns printed on the actual pattern) Not only that but I could find no technical flats illustrating the back of the jacket and all the pics on the envelope are front only. Guess the consumer is just to be surprised by the back? And guess what, I was! There was no vent on this jacket pattern (which I prefer). Now I’m not saying I’m all that but I actually have a degree in fashion design (are you hiring? lol) and had to let the pieces out and alter the pattern I bought to save me the time of pattern drafting. Maybe I’m just picky, but were I not to know a thing beyond basic sewing I probably would have been up a creek, but again, the pattern did go togther easily and I was able to pull it off. For the FEW men’s patterns Burda does have, please re-evaluate them AND please include complete and/or correct technical flats. I mean what the heck, men do comprise 50% of the worlds population and we need cool cloths too!
