Thanks so much! If you look at my projects I made my daughter one that has scalloped detail in the front. I didn’t really know what I was doing at the time. Next time I need to snip and press them seam allowances and then do a top-stitch.

(Also I remembered a couple others I have, updated!)

Merry Christmas to you, too, Bee!!

There’s about a 50% chance that I might sew today…lol…we are going to my mother in law’s house and don’t have enough presents for her to match all of the ones we know she’ll give us. I was thinking last minute napkins + napkin rings (with button closure) to match the margarita glasses we’re giving her. I say 50% because our other brilliant idea is to get her some scratchers from the liquor store. CLASSY!

I buy my fabric all over the place lately Walmart because they are closing all there sewing Departments they fabric is a little cheaper. Most of all I shop at Joann the people are really nice and I look for sales and they give me a coupon 40% off and they let me us more than one because I shop there so much.I am shopped out I have to start making stuff. I juat got back into sewing about 3 or 4 months ago and my sewing machine was all new to me so I had to learn it I was rusty. blog later bye.

Hi Bee! Thanks for friending me! I haven’t been to a Walmart fabric section in ages – I try not to shop there because of their terrible track record with how they treat their employees but money is tight right now and I could use a deep discount on some muslin. I’ve been doing a lot of pattern drafting which (for me) means cutting through A LOT of muslin. Can’t wait to see what you do with your new stash and sewing machine!

Aw, thanks Meseide! I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I think the Marimekko post was actually the last in the vintage fabric series! Next I’m doing a series on vintage details I like to incorporate into my sewing toady. The first one is going to be about a trick with rickrack. Maybe once I get done with that series I might pick up the vintage fabric series again, though. There was a lot more to write about than I initially imagined! I really appreciate the positive feedback! =)

I guess as long as you still write about something the news aren’t so bad. :)
