Hello Liz, thank you very much for your comment on my big jacket. I don’t think you are going to have any problem with sewing a tailored collar. I’m quite sure you are skilled much more than that. …I’m not sure about your BWOF instruction though…( I can imagine that it’s sometime much better to have nothing than to have bad references.) Having said that, it was just a piece of collar, attached to lapel directly. Nothing complicated. Good luck to you!! -yoshimi

I finally have the pattern cut out for your lovely Hope Wrap Dress, am busy making adjustments so it fits me :) ….found this great dark green jersey while making PJs for my nephews at $2.95 a yard and thought I know exactly what I’m making with that! – Very excited!!

hello! just found your comments, thanks so much :-) yeah had a bit of a sewing spurt before i went on holiday but they were all pretty quick, cheap and cheerful jersey ones…think i may actually have to learn something this autumn and try sleeves/shirt/jacket instead of staying safe lol Your things are amazing these days you really have become a pro!

Interesting! I’ve photographed my toile, I’ll post the pictures when I post the project (hope it’s at least nearly as nice as yours!). Not sure if I’m going to make a new one in size 34 or if I’ll just take it in a bit (quite a lot). I do like quite fitted clothes, but your is just the way I like it so it’s a mystery…

Hi Erdronen, I am so glad you saw my version of your fabulous organiser wallet. I am so glad you like it, thank you so very much for the wonderful tutorial, you did such a great job with all the photographs, it was so well written which made it also so easy to modify. I think I will make some more for presents because everyone I have showed it to so far loves it. :) Happy sewing xx

Hi, thank you for your comment on my balloon skirt! I agree with you about the pleats and bubble hem, the combination is lovely. At least, it is much much better than (gather+bubble), that’s what I noticed this time!

hey thanks for your comment on my itty bitty bag, I only just now noticed that! I don’t know what bag contest you were talking about, but thanks for the suggestion. I might retry that idea with some better fabric sometime soon :)

I did a second attempt at your how-to for the mother in law and did it a LOT more justice :)
I am still jealous of your sewing room and am hoping one day to have one of my own ;)

Thank you so much for your lovely comments! Your creations are so beautiful, too—not just the blue top, but all of it. Oh, and Garment Designer is the best. I’ve had it for 3 years, and it was so worth getting. There’s nothing like plugging in your own measurements, letting the computer do the hard work, then only having to do the fun part—tweaking the design to match your inspiration. Happy sewing!

Thank you for taking the time to make kind comments about my sickly-sweet wedding dress and bridesmaid’s dresses (I really didn’t want to post something so dated – not old enough to be vintage – but felt guilty for having posted nothing at all so far). I purchased that wedding dress pattern many years before I was even dating my husband. By the time I got married, that style of dress wasn’t really “me” anymore, but for some reason I felt compelled to go ahead and make it. Maybe I was just curious? That frilly gown fit right into 1988, but in my real life (then and now), I prefer tailored and classic clothes. They look better on me and fit my personality. Your creations look perfectly made to me, and I’m sure your sisters would love a gown made by you. Make the offer. . .

Thank you for your comment on my pink party dress! I like the lace frills on the bottom, too :) They were like that on the original dress, but because I had to hem it so much shorter, I cut off the lace about an inch above it, hemmed the dress, and then reattached it in a way that hid the stitching. It was actually a last minute decision and it’s ended up being my favorite feature :)
