Thanks for the comment! I did the red fake rolled hem on my sewing machine by doing a zigzag stitch at a really small stitch length – just 1/2. But you can do it on an overlocker, except mine’s currently out of action.

Thanks so much for your nice comment! I love your stuff, your mum looks supersweet, and your pic’s make me miss Australia (oh the scent of a Gum-tree forest!) so much. I went to Mornington High School (Mornington Peninsula VIC) for a year a long time ago… sweet memories…

hello there, thanks for your post! I dont use screenprinting merely because I haven’t learned how, and probably should because I would use it alot! I usually make stencils or just paint the picture by hand. And my pup? His name is Rocco and he’s my wonder-corgi with the most energy I have ever seen!

Thank you for your nice comment on my JJ blouse – I had also wanted a white blouse, but since this was my first day-wear creation, and also first adult-creation, I was a bit intimidated by the starkness of the 2 yards of white fabric… alas, it did come together; this is something I need to learn to do – to visualize a fabric as a garment, I predict a few kitschy creations in the meantime.

For the hood and collar I sewed the hood on and then the collar on so i would have the back interfacing to cover up both the hood and the collar’s “ends”

Hi emsalot and thank you for your sweet comment on my burgundy dress. I liked the effect that it had. I have somehow missed the appearance on your creation on this site and must say that it is gorgeous and that you have done some excellent work! Being a knitter myself – your creation was oops – sorry – is a feast for the eyes. And I believe it was hard work, but it was worth it! In expectation of your future creations. Happy sewing/knitting!
