Hi Elaine, How is life? Here we have a sloppy weather and all my friends in Europe complain also of rain, so I suppose you have it in Bulgaria, too. It looks like fall right now outside: heavy rain. What else to do than sew?:) I’m looking for a pattern on BS to have a fly-front zipper. I want to create a skirt that needs such a zipper ans as I don’t know how the pattern should look like in that area, I’m gonna steal it from another pattern :) How is the sewing advancing? Any progress? Stefi

Thank you Elaine! I’ve just written that I ’ve never had so many velvet clothes in my wardrobe as I do now and I am certainly going to have nice time wearing all my velvet this spring!

Hi Elaine,
How are you? How is it going on with the dress sewing? I haven’t entered BurdaStyle lately and haven’t sewn much either. I’m about to finish an evening dress I started a very long time ago :) It’s a lovely spring time over here and I potted some seeds, took the pot outside in the garden too early, lost almost all the little plants and started all over :)) Well, learning from mistakes :) How is your garden? What plants do you have?
Enjoy the weather, Stefi

How is the sewing going on? You must be so excited with all the fabrics around you :) I also finally have my sewing room. I used to sew at the dinning table but we bought a desk from IKEA last week and installed it in the guest room which we weren’t using anyway. I hope spring has come to Bulgaria, it came to Romania and also here. It’s sunny and warm! Have a nice weekend!

Hi, thank you for the nice words :) Did you receive the fabrics from home? Do you have already projects in mind?

Quess what, we went shopping today. About an hour after we got back my delivery of material came, a new chair for Dave my husband and a giant goodie bag of all different things that we bought while we were over in England. We have spent all afternoon setting the chair up, it is one of those massage ones and we are very pleased with it.
So I have got to get down to it now and get cracking now I have got the material, I will just have to sort out what I think will be the right material for the patterns , so I will definitely be
busy. Just looked out the window it has started snowing !!!!!!!!!

Welcome back! Looking for fabrics in a warehouse became one of may favorite things :) You have such a great feeling when discovering a gem hidden among those many fabrics :) I even prefer it to going to a sewing shop where everything is neat and organized. Looking forward to your creations !

Welcome back Elaine! I am glad you had such a wonderful time with your family and I am dying to see all the beautiful fabric you’ve bought! I could only imagine the time you had in the fabric shop – whenever I enter one I feel as Alice in Wonderland! Now completed with work tables I wish you all the best in creating! Can’t wait to see your future creations!

I’m sorry to hear about your husband! I hope you both enjoy Bulgaria, I know how the Eastern Europe can be so much different from the rest of the Europe…and the language is not an easy one either. I studied it for a few months and then caved in :) I only remember very few words :)

I have to wait a bit before doing anymore staple gunning, I got a big blister on one of my fingers and it hurts something wicked! Good thing is it doesn’t hurt when I use my sewing scissors, hehe, so I’ve just started three new projects, I am half way through the Cindy bathing suit, but I ran out of cotton with all the zig-zagging (that will be fixed today with a trip to the shops) so I started my next “outfit” (part of my New Years Resolution to make more items that go together), it’s another Kasia in black with this Burda blouse in a cute white satin with a greeny-blue print on it :) What’s your current project?

Hi Elaine, I’m glad you like my coffee table revamp, we have so much storage now, I just got some woven baskets for the inside otherwise everything gets lost in there, haha :)
