    my brim is just a double layer of wool, turned and stitched. To make it a bit stiffer you could try a light weight plastic, like a piece of milk jug or something like it. Set it inside.

    It was hard to assemble, many aspects of the final design resulted in an effort to cover up my mistakes. I made this one sometime in the 1990’s my first real attempt at clothing construction.
