Thanks! I love your Salt and Pepper dress too. Have got a dress on the go that modified so far from the pattern that it’s pretty much non pattern too, i’m finding the fitting part really frustrating though! x

I don’t use muslin before I sew, so I’m always afraid of messing up! I think going slow and just making small adjustments is the best way to go. That’s what I did for the salt n pepper dress – It takes longer, but I was more careful with it!

I just added a few inches to the bottom of the front pieces when I cut them. When I went to sew those pieces to the waist band, I just held them up to me in a mirror and pinned it where I wanted it to be.
There’s probably a more precise way to modify the pattern, but I just like to wing it and pin it to myself to get the fit right. I think that’s the easiest way!
