Are you going to enter the Party Era competition? I am tempted but may have too much work to do this month.

I am tempted as well, but like you, I just don’t think there’s enough time! – Plus, I’ve not been doing much sewing lately, and I have 2 unfinished projects sitting in a cupboard. I’d feel very guilty starting another one!
Of course, I’d love if you’d enter! You’re always so creative!
Even if we don’t enter, it will certainly be a really fun competition to watch!
I hope that you’re doing well!!!

I really should get some work done. Been very slack! Plus I may be moving before Xmas.
Im trying tio make every day clothes as I have absolutely nothing in my wardrobe.. That means nothing. I hate clothes shopping.
I’ve just invented and patented a sewing gadget. Getting the sample on Monday then into production.
I’ll send you one.

What? You invented and patented a sewing gadget??? I can’t wait to learn what it is!
I understand, it’s so fun to make dramatic and beautiful things, but they rarely get worn! I can’t convince myself to make anything too practical, so good onya for doing so! :)

Hi Becky, Thanks for the reply! Yes I think the Burda Style bug has truly bitten me! Ouch!
Now I just need to learn (teach my husband) how to take good photos of my creations – you seem to have that sorted, as your photographs are amazing!

Hi dewreb, I am new to this website and am finding the whole thing quite overwhelming – there is just so much amazing stuff to look at and make!!!
I had a look through your projects and I just wanted to compliment you on your work, all your outfits turn out so great! I especially love the one-piece you made and the sail away dress!

There you go. It’s a Seam allowance guide. No need to trace your seam allowances any more. Just attach the magnetic guide to your scissors and move the rubber guide to the same distance you want your seam allowance as. Then just cut keeping the guide on the edge of the pattern.
I thought of it when I was annoyed at having to add a seam allowance for a lot of things.

Wow! That’s so cool! I see why you’re such a great seamstress, you’re so creative!
Don’t forget to enter all the giveaways! I’ll be checking in to burdastyle everyday now that December is around! – It will be good for me, it might motivate me to sew! – I’ve got a billion non-sewing projects going on and they distract me!

Give away month!
Not much lucl arond for me at the moment though.
I have my gadget going into production on Monday, I have one with the magnet at 90 degree angle and one with it offset at 3 degrees cause most scissors have an angle on the blade.
The two come in the pack.
When it’s ready I’ll send you a freebee.
My fav two designs didnt get into the finals for the bernina competition. Shame.
I bought myself heaps of fabric for Xmas, I am wrapping it up as presents from my kids to me.
Christmas tree up today!
