The neckline is sort of like a upside down T to make turtle(or cowl) neck, and a little gathering on the front. The whole thing is made of two pieces (front + back).

Hello there fellow sewer, I’m just returning your comment on my fabric covered diairy’s – (Which I’m very pleased that you like). Yes I did just glue the fabric to the diary after I’d sewn on the name part. I just used a cheap PVA glue (Just common craft glue) and let them dry over night.
