    I think you did a superb job. I tried to make this for my daughter (but didn’t have your perserverance and gave up) so I know just exactly how complicated all those darts and pleats are. Well done.

    Princess line dress based on V2903.
    I omitted the inverted pleats on the skirt and did away with the extra yoke piece – mainly because I couldn’t get it to sit right!

    1950’s style petticoat based on the Alice Lon pattern. There is not quite 48yards of fabric as in the original pattern but I think it gives enough pouf!
    I made a smooth yoke instead of a gather…

    Wow – you did an awesome job here. I wouldn’t contemplate making a bustle without a pattern (trust me – I had enough problems WITH a pattern!). It gives just the right sillohette – well done.

    Gosh, am I ever! I have plans to go up to an historic house that has open days and have some proper pictures taken in an authentic setting. Must get onto that hat 1st though….

    Have added a couple more pics showing the (hand) pleated trim I put onto the skirt and cuffs. It is now officially ‘finished’! I must get some better pictures taken with me in it though.

    I do love this dress. I have since added a pleated trim to the skirt. I think I’m quite obsessed…….! I would be really interested to know how you made your hat.
