    oh I am soooo bummed I didn’t see this earlier! Sorry I haven’t been on here for a while, been doing other sewing projects :) and the usual grind of every day

  congrats on being featured member! actually I thought you had been already! I want to ask your advice on something! i’m looking to buy a serger, what type do you think is the best to buy? do they all do more or less the same things? what brand is better to get? where did you get yours? is there any other machinery you would advise getting when trying to get a professional look to garments you make? many thanks! bxx

I have some silk satin leftover from a christmas top I made so I thought that a blouse would be nice to make but I will have to see if I have enough time to draft a pattern for it!.Spk soon.bx

  Hey,hey no, thank you for your help- you deserve the credit!! I did doubt myself a lot and it took a while for me to get over that- I started the pocket before christmas and then came back to it in the new year so I left it a while…sometimes projects need that!bx- hows your sewing going!!

  Hey I love yours too! you work great in those lovely light linen fabrics! I love those shorts u made- were they Nicola shorts?? actually I thought they were trousers from your first pic- they would look good like that too! Oh I wish it was warm here! it was FREEZING when I took those pics in the suit- it got so cold (-4 maybe) that I eventually put the maniquin outside and took pics like that!! Bolax

  Glad u had a good break! yeah I did to- it was so nice to just sew all day on some days! Yeah the trousers look good!! my hub reallt likes them and says they are his favourite one’s! which is a big compliment from him as he ALWAYS says how he feels about things ( doesn’t hold back at all!). Anyway I’m working on the suit now too- cool, your nearly finished, I have nearly finished the jacket- just the skirt to go now- but I can’t make up my mind on how I would like it to be – i’m soooo glad they extended the deadline! I’m hoping it will all come together in the end.- I hope yr last bits and pieces on your suit go well!- I can’t wait to see everyone elses!! spk soonbx

  Hey cheriered, How was your christmas?? I’m back now from my holiday in London and I thought I would have another go with the trousers!…and low and behold I worked it out!! I found a page in my sewing book which showed how to construct this type of slashed pocket- the book described it as "one of the hardest pockets to sew( I thought great!:(). Anyway I got on it with and managed to sew one side, it was suppose to feature on both trouser legs but I thought one was enough. Thanks for your help in try to explain, I appreciate it a lot! I’ll post the pants soon!!bx

  Cool thanks for the offer of help! well (like with the eva jacket) I have got to the bit where I am ready to cut the trouser pocket slit but I don’t want to in case it goes wrong?? I just don’t know… it says something about piping?? oh man the pic’s don’t make sense to me, oh well I gues it’s one of those challenges. Yeah, if you could say what you did when you cam to the back pocket bit then that will be great! thanks (the front pockets are fine).bx

  haha- my sewing room is not so clean right now either! I took those pictures when we first put it together :) I need to take some updated ones soon (once I get it cleaned up enough- which means after Christmas!). Have a wonderful holiday!
