Hi Helene! Thats fun, Elena is the Spanish form for Helene or Helen (we have Helena too). I worked for a couple of months in a camera rent service, doing mainteinance of 35mm an 16 mm cameras. I loved the Aaton 16mm cameras, they are so cute, and so tricky to load the film in (I used to practice with old blurred film). Now I own a 8mm camera, there was only one place where they included in film price the development (they sent the rolls to the Kodak laboratories in Switzerland) but they no longer do it, so is very expensive now for me to develop the film. Is it difficult (and expensive) to develop your the film yourself? Do you need a lot of room to do it?

What a coincidence! And, as everybody knows, people who was born in january between the 13th and the 15th are the best. The same as you, I love the notion of handmade in general, and 16mm is a beautiful format (and the 16mm cameras are the nicest). By the way, I´ve just fallen in love with your Rosina cardigan!

Hi Helene, thanks for your comment on my wall and the link to savvy threads, I tried to reply to your message, but messaging is displaying some bugs again, so you might not have recieved it. I’ll try out the smocking, but it may take a while because I usually have a huge amount of projects I want to do ;)
