Thanks for your comment on my Hawaii-dress ;) I’m not ready yet, they are two exams in july and many projects that must be finished, but after that, there’s a lot of free time I’ll probably spend sewing ;) Btw: what are you doing?

Happy to hear from you. And happy you are getting compliments for your cape. I’ve been quite busy these days and not really in the sewing department…

Hi Helene, I’m good thanks! How are you? Hope you are well. I must admit I got frustrated with the knitting so I have started another blouse. We should have that cuppa some time! Take care. x

:) Thanks! Well, half of the stuff I posted here was sewn several years ago. I kind of wanted to see other’s reactions to my work. I’m wondering these days whether I should start earning money from sewing. It is just a hobby to me, but I really sew a lot.

Hi Helene! No, I don’t have a blog that treats sewing issues. I never thought of myself as of a sewer skilled enough to keep an open sewing diary. This is the first time (and the site where) I posted my creations for public. Thanks though, I find it complimentary that you’re interested :). Best regards, Ana

Salut Helene! I didn’t know these artists, but I’ve seen some short movies in youtube and they are amazing. I know what you mean when you say that it a is man’s world, is the same with cinema in general. I recommend you (if you don’t know her yet) the work of Hermina Tyrlova, a czech animation artist who worked in some movies (she’s dead) animating yarn, thread and fabric. Her work is mainly for children, but the craft work is amazingly beautiful.

Hi. Thanks for nice comment on my blue Michelle skirt. I am glad that you like it. I bought this fabric on a big fabrics spectacle, which is organized in Holland twice a year. They always have a lot of nice and very cheep fabrics.

Hi again, Helene! Your films seems to be very interesting, the chalkboard animation is the more appealing to me since a like stop motion very much, I am fascinated also with czech masters of animation, such a lonely handmade process, with incredible results. I have worked some times as camera loader or assistant using 35 mm cameras, and I have some knowledge about cameras-lenses-exposures and laboratory process, so if you need any advice maybe I could help you, depending on your questions! I am really poor right now so the lomo tank should have to wait, but I have tons of fabric waiting form me, haha, I can barely manage my hobbies!

Hey! Thanks for your comment on my skirt! I’m still fascinated of your potatoe jackets. :-) Was there anyone who said something like “don’t play with food” or so? I can imagine this is a polarizing (not sure if you can say this in English as well?!) project on which you get many different reactions… How do you make them durable, or should they fade? (So many questions… ;-)) Lucia

Thank you, Helene! As soon as I can I’ll try to do it, I guess it is very similar to develop 35mm negative (photography), which is fast and easy, I didn’d know that 8mm film can be developed at home! I’ll look for the tank at the flea market first (you never know). Are you showing your films somewhere in London?

hm I don’t care how many of them walk around as long as they look good! I am a bit scared that you are buying an expensive fabric! please measure the pattern first before you get the urge to kill me… (not sure about my pattern making abilities that much, you all are kind of laboratory mice…)
