Hi, I saw your comment which said you’ve got a serger! Congrats! Summer is the season for a serger, I say! Swimsuits, T-shirts, etc, etc… And I thank you for your nicest compliment on my Hikaru!! You are so kind and you made my day ;-)

You know, that was the nicest & most thoughtful comment I’ve gotten so far, and I ran ahead and changed the titles of my creations. Thanks!

Yes, Mosely ack! Nancy Mitford was the funniest and wrote the best books, and her politics were pretty middle-of-the-road!

Hey! Yeah, I love the casual understatement of her style! I’m so happy my mum bought me flared leg jeans and Boys-Shirts for the “Birkin-Look” when I was a child. ;-)

Oh I know, me too. Have you knitted the fabric to the sweaters you’ve made? If so, have you got a machine? Im actually thinking of getting a knitting-machine. It’s pretty expencive, but I’ve missed them so much since I gratuated school. Think about all the things that I could do! haha. It would be so wonderful.

Hi again Carotte! The girls in the picture are the the Mitford sisters, who were the daughters of a minor English aristocrat. Two became fantastic authors (Nancy and Jessica) and two became scary Fascist Nazi-sympathisers and close personal friends of Hitler (Unity and Diana). The other one became the second-wealthiest woman in England, cos she married the Duke of Devonshire. They were all very funny letter-writers and friends with lots of famous people, if you can get ahold of a book of their letters or a biography, or Jessica and Nancy’s books, I bet you’ll love them. Well, nobody would love Unity and Diana for obvious reasons, but the stuff put out by the others is screamingly funny.

oh no i missed them! i do have to admit it is strange to photograph my crotch ;-) but for the sake of the sewing… one of my next projects will be the alexander mcqueen blouse that is on the showstudio website. but it’ll probably be a while…can’t wait to see your pants (trousers that is…)!

Hi Carotte, Your comments made me very happy. No, I have not established a business yet, but I really hope that I will be able to do that some day soon. I’ve just graduated from a year at fashionschool in Borås, sweden, were I studyed the basics of fashion. I hope to be able to continue soon, but right now im considered to be too young. I really like your work to, especially the knitted garments. I love knitted materials, its a world of possibilitys!

Hi Carotte! Thanks for visiting my wall! I like Jean-Pierre, too, but he was such a little shit in that movie :o) I am TRYING to cultivate a Charlotte Gainsbourgesque sartorial aesthetic but fear I am failing- I love her “I-just-tossed-this-on-without-looking-and-look amazing” style :o) Your turquoise jj shirt is gorgeous!!!!

i’m a researcher at a stock photography agency which is basically a library. it can be boring (which means i’m sneaking as much time as possible on this site) but sometimes it’s also interesting and challenging. good luck with your thesis!

I’m studying communications design in the first year, so these are not my last exams (if this was a misunderstanding ;)). Wow, you’re doing a phd, sounds interesting and stressful the same time ;) I wish you good luck with everything!

Yey, that would be perfect, let me know when. Button holes are appearing all over the place on random bits of fabric! (it took me a while to perfect the art).

yes, I am, but I really am not very experienced in all the multicolor knitting. Is fairisle hard to learn??? Because I really like the not at all made-at-home-mumsy-look of your things!

Thanks for your comment on my Hawaii-dress ;) I’m not ready yet, they are two exams in july and many projects that must be finished, but after that, there’s a lot of free time I’ll probably spend sewing ;) Btw: what are you doing?

Hey Carotte, thanks for the sweet comments! I really like what you’re doing, too! I wasn’t crazy about the Minna pattern either but I got this silk so cheap and thought that this pattern would be good practice. Learning is good. Ha! I just get tired of making these creations and not really wanting to wear them, ya know?
