I work full time in a library and have twin girls. Although I have dabbled with patchwork and knit I now want to be able to alter clothes and sew my own. Really I want to make my daughters prom dresses when they are teenagers!!

I just read your bio and I too want to make my daughter’s prom dress. She is only 19 months….so a lot younger than your girls but I had to comment as when people ask me why I like to sew or why I started to sew I tell them it is because my goal is to become a stronger sewer and to hopefully one day make my daughter’s prom dress. Happy sewing :)

Do you know what? I’d love to make their wedding dresses, but daren’t publish that cause I don’t want to be a pushy mum, or may never be good enough! I wish I had sewn, or known how to sew when my two were little.(Not that I’m convinced I would of had the time-even without working) Think of all the ace fabrics you could dress your daughter in!
I have made so many mistakes and had to re do so much, but actually love making them better. I think my fabric shop see me coming…Thanks for messaging me. :) Just looked at your wall. You’ve done 34 projects!!! Way to go!
