Chère Mademoiselle Caramia, Bonne Année également a toi! Pleine de projets excitants! The pants were made out of a cheap heavy duty cotton fabric (although it has the same thickness of medium denim). It took a while to remove the excess dye when washing it. Re- the stone wash effect, it is going to be disapointing but, have a look at my creation ‘Post-raphaelite’. I had just finished it then. Two years afterwards-I have been wearing it a LOT- loads of washing, kneeling and sitting has giving this ‘stone wash effect’. In brief, don’t let time ‘stonewash’ your patience! Or vice versa… This is ‘la moralité du jour’!:) Much love! H

C’est dommage, but I guess you are right, I will have to be patient! :D
Merci beacoup pour la reponse, je vais essayer mettre l’effet du “stonewashing” sur mes pantalons!

Yes! The good thing is you won’t have to apologize for sitting down too much during the stonewash process. :) If I hear about a good stonewashing plan, I let you know. But one day or the other, some one will has to sacrifice a washing washing: filling it with flint stones and the denim.Bonne Journée!

Jealous of your fabric shopping expedition! Have you checked out Button Button in Gastown? A pound of buttons for 2 toonies. So, basically all the random buttons you’ll ever need. (Actually, in my pound of buttons, there were at least 2 of everything and some nice ones too!)

Hey, where did you find that little kid’s vintage pattern? I’m trying to figure out where they’d have that kind of stuff in E-town.
Jun 4, 2010, 04.17 AMby caramia-made
I bought it at the church thrift shop here in Salmon Arm. You could try calling around the different thrift shops… maybe is there a Mennonite clothes closet in Eddie? For some reason old church ladies seem to purge their pattern collections at thrift stores :)
Let me know if you’re coming through here this summer and you can always trace stuff off me. OR we can go to the thrift store together! It’s a goldmine for sewing stuff!
