Hello Candy!
You had asked about the spoonflower quilting fabric being appropriate for a stuffed toy. I think it might be but I find it doesn’t hold the color that well. Now I wash my fabrics in hot water before sewing so that I get maximum shrinkage and that might be the reason for the faded colors.
Happy Sewing!

Hello Ms Candy,
I just got your message on the Lady Grey and now I’m remembering the pocket problem. Yes they were too long, but since I’m such a pockety person and have biggish hands, I didn’t want to loose any of the length in the pocket. So, I tucked them inside the hem and then slipstitched the hem to one side of the pocket. And yes, it was a little weird. But, I didn’t know what to do. The coat in itself should probably be a little longer to accommodate the pockets and of course by then, it was too late for that. I can’t wait to see your creation! I’m sure it will be so superb, just like your other fantastic creations!

It’s hilarious isn’t it!
I found the link from a blog called ‘a dress a day’
http://www.dressaday.com/dressaday.html
which is a really well written blog that revolves around fashion and vintage patterns and the like. If you scroll down on the right and read ‘the secret lives of dresses’….i think these are so imaginative and funny.
