Go to your profile by clicking on your username, and click on Library. You can also access your Library in the right-hand side of the homepage.

I would like to introduce myself, I am Claire Cochran, the creator of the SA Curve rulers. I have completely redesigned my measuring wheel for the sewing community and have put it on Kickstarter and called it the Curve Runner. I am looking to get the word out to as many interested people as possible. Here is the Kickstarter Link:

I was wondering if I could put the information about the Kickstarter campaign on your projects page.

I would be eternally grateful if that is OK. The campaign just has 3 weeks left.

    Thanks! Claire

After posting several projects, I’ve found that I can’t type a title of the project into the “based on” blank, which is a required field. I can only click on a project name that has already been entered and is in the list that comes up. So I’ve been picking the project name that is closest to mine. But that brings up the issue or project in the sidebar, and sometimes although it is close, it’s not the same project. One time I lucked out, and someone had already posted the same project so I was able to choose it from the list. Is this just a bug that might be in my browser (Safari)? Because obviously some people have been able to type in project names, otherwise there wouldn’t be any in the list.

Hi, I have read through the pattern FAQs, what do you do when you print the pattern and your pattern test square is 9.5cm by 9.5cm? Do you have to resize the image some how? The instructions just say make sure it’s 10 by 10 cm and don’t actually offer any suggestions as to what to do when it doesn’t print right.

    Thank-you :)

Each “Print at Home” pattern comes in sets of standard 8 1/2 × 11 or A4 sheets of paper. Please print each sheet AS IS – do not crop or enlarge the pages. You are provided with a guide that shows you how each pattern must be assembled. For more information on printing and assembling patterns at home, please go to Please note that some print options require you to select “Fit.” We recommend you find your test square and print this page first for accuracy. Your test square should measure 10cmX10cm.

If you are experiencing problems downloading or printing your pattern, the following information should help you.

      - Check to make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Reader. Visit for download information.
      - Click “Save As” instead of “Open” when downloading.

This reply is completely unhelpful. It is identical to the reply I found farther down. Had you taken the time to read my question you would see that my problem is not knowing the website addresses. Simply pointing a person to does nothing to help them navigate a huge, unintuitive website and find the answers they need. What I need to know is: do I have to purchase the downloadable pattern just for the English instructions if I have already bought the paper pattern, or can I simply download the English instructions as it is implied in the pattern itself?…

I apologize for the trouble you are having placing your order. There are a few different reasons this could be happening. First, if you are an international customer, it could be that your bank does not allow international charges. If this is the case, you can talk to your bank and they can usually assist you in placing the order. The second is that your bank may not recognize Burda as a legitimate site, and so it denies the transaction. Usually the financial institution will check it out and you will be cleared to use it in 24-48 hours, so you can just try again. Or third, our system does not recognize your banking institution. Typically this happens when you are using a temporary credit card (such as a gift card). If this is the case, you will need to try to place your order using another card.
You could also try using a different Internet browser for the purchase (i.e. Chrome, FireFox, Internet Explorer, etc.) to see if that clears up the issue.
We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa credit/debit/gift cards.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us at if you have any further questions.

They are the same written instructions, we just lay them out and space them a bit more to be visually more readable.

Some of our older patterns do include a print shop version, but the majority of our patterns are PDF files created to be printed on a home printer and then assembled.

Some of our patterns will share a PDF with another pattern. If there are pieces on the PDF that are not mentioned in the Instructions, you can just ignore the pieces.

There is not a way to connect this account to a magazine subscription. If you see a digital pattern in the magazine that is not included on the pattern insert, you can purchase it as a download from this web site.
