    Morning how do you add 1.5cm seam allowance to a pattern piece where two seams converge to a point. Like the bottom of a ice cream cone. Pattern in spring summer 2014. 2/2014 pattern 1I it’s a jumpsuit and the pattern piece is sleeve front and back Thank you

    Hello, I had purchased several patterns online. It has been several months since I last logged in- now when I go into my library I do not see a single pattern out of the one I purchased. Do they expire after some time?

    Dear Burdastyle team members,

    First of all, thank you for putting up such a nice website with so much offer. Although you have a lot of nice patterns available for purchase I can’t seem to be able to pay for my purchases with a credit card. It says “Your transaction could not be processed due to transaction not allowed on your account”… but I don’t understand what is exactly the problem. My data from my profile is updated and it matches my card details.

      There are a few different reasons this could be happening. First, if you are an international customer, it could be that your bank does not allow international charges. If this is the case, you can talk to your bank and they can usually assist you in placing the order. The second is that your bank may not recognize Burda as a legitimate site, and so it denies the transaction. Usually the financial institution will check it out and you will be cleared to use it in 24-48 hours, so you can just try again. Or third, our system does not recognize your banking institution. Typically this happens when you are using a temporary credit card (such as a gift card). If this is the case, you will need to try to place your order using another card.
      You could also try using a different Internet browser for the purchase (i.e. Chrome, FireFox, Internet Explorer, etc.) to see if that clears up the issue.
      We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa credit/debit/gift cards.

    I signed up for the Pattern Grading webinar for today at 11am but I didn’t get to register. I was having computer issues. How can I register before the class starts so I can participate? I paid for the class yesterday.

      All registrants (regardless if they attend the webinar live) will receive a “Thank You” email the following Monday (if the live webinar was on Thursday) or Thursday (if the live webinar was on Monday) with a recording of the event, the Q&A transcript, and any additional downloads/resources referenced during the event. You will also have the opportunity to email the presenter any follow-up questions you might have after watching the recording.
      Please note that our webinar emails include live links and sometimes will end up in a JUNK or SPAM folder. If you don’t receive the email, be sure to check those folders.
      A recording will also be available in your BurdaStyle.com Library.

    Hi, I just received my newsletter which offers a free trial to the magazine – but when I click any of the links, it say’s access denied. Even when I signed in, and clicked the link to view it in the browser, it still say’s access denied. Is there a problem with the newsletter link?

    Hello, I have just tried to upload a new project twice, but it is still not showing up. Is there a problem with the project section right now? I did not have any problems putting in the information or hitting the “publish” button..it’s just not showing up at all in the project section. Can anyone else see it? because I can’t. Thank you for your help.

      All of your digital pattern purchases can be found in your LIBRARY. You can print the patterns as many times as you like.

    I am not new to purchased webinars, but having problems saving a webinar I purchased here. The “thank you” email for the Pattern Grading for Pus sizes has a link, but when I click on it, the webinar automatically executes itself, instead of giving me the option to download and save to watch later..

      Did you try to RIGHT CLICK the link and SAVE to your computer? That will work on a PC. On a MAC, you would CTRL CLICK and then SAVE.

      In the spring issue of BurdaStyle US magazine (and in all of the BurdaStyle US magazines going forward), we will include 20 patterns as full-size inserts. The remaining patterns are available as paid digital downloads.

    I am trying to figure out if the pattern I just purchased has seam allowances or if I need to add them. I just purchased the Ombré Coat 11/2010 #102, and under seam allowance in the description, it says it doesn’t have any. But when I open the instructions, it doesn’t say anything about adding it, which it should.

    It also mentions bust darts in the instructions, but it doesn’t show it in your flat, so that is misleading. I’ve also noticed some spelling errors, the first being the spelling of ombre in the material section.

    I went to the “How-To” section and found a pattern I wanted to use. I clicked on the “Add to my toolkit” to add this pattern to my Toolkit, but when I go to my Studio Tab, there isn’t anything under any of the Studio categories (Techniques I use, Patterns, Projects, etc.). I’ve added other things to my Studio in the past but now they aren’t showing up under my Studio Tab either.

    Can you fix this error?

    I bought men’s pattern Burda 7049 from a store, and the finished seat size of the pants has the exact same measurements as the size chart for picking the size. We all know they can’t have 0 ease, and I confirmed this by cutting a 42, and ending with a 46/47 seat, not the “41.5” the pattern says. Does anyone actually know the real eases/finished size of the pants, or am I out $9 for a useless pattern with a giant pair of useless pants?

    Quick question if anyone can advise. I have just bought the downloadable cropped gathered top 113. But when I come to print it is coming up as a long pocketed dress – assume you just cut and crop this to make the top? It involves printing off 25 sheets however, half of which wont be used.

      Some of our patterns will share a PDF with another pattern. If there are pieces on the PDF that are not mentioned in the Instructions, you can just ignore the pieces.
