      Its a computerized brother but its all in Japanese so im trying to best to use it..its actually so weird! it doenst even have a foot peddle!

      haha thats like mine. It comes with a foot pedal but I havent ever used it.

    Congrats on being featured in the new book. Just want to say that for a novice your creations are beautiful and very inspiring!! I was just reading your wall – are you living in Japan at the moment? I lived over there for a year back in 2008 teaching English and I had a ball! Anyway if you’re there for work, study or just a holiday I hope you’re having a fantasic time!!

      and yeah I am living in Japan right now teaching English. The funny thing is…back in 2008 I was actually in Australia! :)

      Its for the Burda book! so I have to get it done before I get back!! and no I dont have a sewing machine here which makes it very difficult! I think Im going to have to befriend a Japanese person who sews lol or ill have to buy one here which I really dont want to have to do!

      the only advice I can really give is just to practice practice practice! I really learn everything through trial and error so the more mistake I make the more I learn!

      anyway, nope I didnt use any books..Im really a hands on kind of person, I find its the best way for me to learn

      Wow that means a lot to me!

      One time I had one of my favourite designers comment on one of my dresses and I said the exact same thing to her that you just said to me…..haha I just cant believe that Im actually someones else’s faviorite designer!
      It feels so weird being on the other end of that comment!

      Hopefully that story made sense…anyway you just made my day :)

      P.s. Theres a place in Guelph that does sewing lessons and they even have an adult sewing club on Monday nights (since you were asking before) but the classes are fairly pricey.
