  Hi Claire, Zipper, did you Reinforce zipper area with light weight interfacing like tricot???.

  The other suggestion is to sew the zipper on jersey on both sides same directions, like both from top down or both from the bottom up.

    Hi Patti – the main issue was the style of the top – it was supposed to be blousey…so I gathered in the material and then hand sewed in the zipper – works a treat and has added a nice feature down the spine :)

  Hi noticed you post for Band Roll (US Ban Rol) not from UK try google: sew in waistband canvas uk That is the old name for it in my grandparents days as tailors.

    Hi Patti – I did look for that as well. I managed to find some (under Ban roll) from a company in Norway in the end (much cheaper on postage).
