  My grandmother had a dog just like your beau and they are such wonderful dogs! She designed a dog jacket that was waterproof on one side and wool like material on the inside. Beach walks did get very cold and wet! I have also heard that the kidneys of smaller dogs are very sensitive since they are closer to the ground- a jacket/jumper is the best!
