Hey I am making Talea and having a lot of problems sewing on the collar. How did you do it? The directions are pretty confusing, I know you did it a while ago, but I would loooooove any hints that you have!! Thanks! BTW your version looks so awesome.

I wish that I could say something more than “thanks for your comment!”, but really, thanks for your comment on my jacket. The ripstop was very easy to work it, and the charmeuse surprisingly gave me no problems whatsoever.

Thanks for your comments! My dress was gathered together with elastic casings; so I’m not sure if that method is counted as smocking or not, but I could certainly put together a tutorial for that. Good luck on searching for ikat fabric!

Thanks for your comment on my dress! The top section is lined with the same fabric. I thought it would make the top and especially the straps a bit sturdier to hold up the weight of the skirt. Have fun making your jersey dress!

Thanks for your comment. The Colette pattern was very easy to follow. They are printed on tissue paper and come with a cute little instructions book that has a little pocket in the back to store the pattern when you are done. I thought the fit was also really good, especially for my body type. I’m probably going to get the Beignet skirt next.

Hi, thanks for the sweet comment on my Ida-Maria skirt. It’s nice to hear someone else who loves these skirts like I do. The how to is almost done so it wont take too long until it’s up. Hope you can be patient! :) Thanks again!

Thank you! We had an imposed theme to work on: “Crazy plant” and “Surprise!”, so I couldn’t tell you our inspirations, because I don’t really know! And the photograph is taken by a pro photographer :).

Thank you so much. I love spring colors they really motivate me to get to work outside. Of course I won’t wear this to work in. It is one of my spring going to town outfits but it has the right affect on me. I was reworking my hijab when I took the pics of the Edwardian Twist. I managed to get olive oil on it and it won’t come out so I shortened the front of the hijab and made it slightly different shape to hide the ugly I had created with the oil. Oops! My bad! Elegant? Me? Gee thanks. I never think of myself that way. What a good feeling.

Thank you on the sweet comment! The beauty of the tunic is that it could be arranged with other pieces of clothing (skirts/ pants, shorts, jeans) and acquire a total new look every time.
