CHANGING THE SIZE OF KIDS’ PATTERNS Unfortunately I do not know how to grade patterns (size them up or down). There are a couple of tutorials on pattern grading here: http://www.burdastyle.com/search/techniques?key=grade+a+pattern Hopefully this will help.

SOFTWARE THAT I USE. Someone asked how I make the patterns but I can’t find her post, so I’ll respond here. I draw the patterns using graph paper (Scotch makes cheap, grid-ruled rolls of wrapping paper) and then recreate the pieces in Adobe Illustrator by scanning and measuring. Then I cut the pieces out and make sure they work together, then add the seam allowances. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for the Vivienne jumper pattern! It’s just what I was looking for. I’d like to give it as a present for a friend’s daughter.. I just have a question to ask you: is the seam allowance already included in your pattern or should I add it? Thanks!

Sorry I’m just seeing this now. There is a 1/2" seam allowance on the pattern. So glad you like it!

Hi Arsonista,
I loved the Vivienne pattern. I’ve just posted my creation but for some reason it’s not coming up when I do a search on Burda. Oh well. By the way, some blogger over at fairythreads.com has posted your tutorial without crediting you or Burda. Just thought you should know.
Hasta la vista

Thank you for a terrific mother-daughter outfit with the two Natalies. Your model looks as sweet as a peach in her top.

Hi- I fell in love with your Tami Tee dress! I was wondering if there is any copyright, protecting it from being produced and selling it? I just want to get your take on it first. Thanks!
