Yes thanks alekat! my bump is rapidly growing now! i’m finding it really hard to find stuff to wear, i’ll have to make more. Thanks for the comment on my work with Mixtape, yeah there are lots of connections between crafty people – actually I found out about the Mixtape mag through Nikki Shell I think? I can’t remember, definately someone on burdastyle though! Hope you are doing well too! bx

haha i showed your comment to my boyfriend and he said “shes exactly right!!”. theres too many zip hoodies, almost only those kind, and the ones that arent zipped are ruined with HUGE logos. they’re a nice comfy jumper, glad to help you find a pattern :)

haha, well yeah it’s short, but you got the legs for it. But I guess you have to be careful with sudden gusts of wind etc., so tights might be a safe option! But might be a bit hot right now, isn’t it summer at your end of the world? My sister is in Sydney for a year (doing a Master’s) and is on the beach quite a lot I think. Myself, I will probably move to Perth in the next year or so, because I might be able to get a job there. I have already investigated Australian websites that sell nice fabrics and hopefully I can do some sewing courses in Perth. Looking forward to that.
Anyhoo, I really like your olive dress! Good job! I hope to make something like that as well soonish…

Yes, that movie -. his coat is quite different i guess, but somehow the upturned collar image stuck on my mind.

hey alekat, I only noticed I had a wallpost from you now :)
I agree it seems that the triangly stuff requires a lot of skill but I just wonder why you would do so much effort to make something like that :D but ah, de gustibus et coloribus non disputandum ;) (I don’t know if you have this expression in English so I hope the Latin one is international ;)). When I see quilts here they are triangly too! I once saw a really beautiful one with a village on it, no triangles :) The only thing I have close to a quilt was a play blanket I had at home :) But it just had a cute drawing of playing children :)
I liked yours not only because it didn’t have triangles, but also because you said not everything matched up! The main thing that keeps me away from these quilts is the perfectionism it seems to require… But I might try making one like yours :)
Don’t you use this kind of stuff for keeping warm? Or do you only have sheets on your bed and then the quilt? :) Bye bye :)

Well, I was already swayed by your similar taste in quilts, but now that you’ve complimented my city I’m completely smitten! I’m in love with where I live, and very proud of our good reputation, hehe. Thanks for you compliment about my jacket, I’m definitely warming up to it!

its a very cute jacket i dont see anything wrong with it. sometimes mistakes when sewing lead to a better outcome. that happended with my ruby shorts
i love the idea of Portland and its also ironic that i just stumbled upon the urban weeds blog. its just an affirmation that Portland is cool! haha.
Sydney is good if you know where to go, but it doesnt have a greenie/indie reputation but very good beaches and weather.
