    Thank you for your comment on my little monsters. I added a comment to my creation page, but I don’t think Burda lets you know about it so here it is. You will have to let me know if you make any of these. I want to see some pics.

    I used the basic patterns at: http://www.theuglydollshop.com/Some-Uglydoll-patterns

    I didn’t really follow the pattern faces. I created my own to make each monster have its own personality. I used scrap fabric/felt for eyes & mouths. Many of the noses and eyes I just used a zig zag stitch to hide whether I stitched evenly or not when going in a circle. I also used embroidery thread for some eye spots and mouth lines. The bodies are made out of fleece blankets from the Goodwill.

    The monsters are approximately between 7.5-10 inches high and 6-10 inches wide depending on the pattern. I altered the patterns with different ear shapes, etc.

    All you have to do is: 1. Cut out the two body pieces 2. Decorate one of them with a face, 3. Sew body pieces together with right sides facing ~1/4 inch seam allowance (leave a small gap approx 3 inches or so to stuff the dolls with, I left mine under one of the arms), 4. Pull the body through the gap left in previous step, stuff and hand sew gap together

      Hi again, this is really silly, I just now have time to get back on the site and found this page. I have two weeks (YIPPEE) vacation from work so I think I will make some of the monsters for gifts. Thank you so much for the directions and the size. Susie
