thanks for your comment :) maybe I’ll upload a capelet pattern, but not anytime soon, since I’m totally busy at the moment :/

But I’ll stay over at the burdastyle labs for an internship so I can probably upload some stuff I make there :)

Hello! Thank you so much for your wonderful comments. I am self-taught, so I don’t have any sewing instructors to recommend! Haha, but my advice is to utilize this site as much as possible. Whenever I don’t know a sewing term, the sewpedia is great, and if they don’t have it just request it. The how-to section also has great tips, like how to make a bound pocket or even sew a button. But my best, most sound advice is to look at the big picture. If its hard to understand what exactly you’re doing, just imagine how the piece you’re making works in the final outcome. As for time, it is hard when you have school to worry about! I have two study halls, so I get as much work done in school and use my time management skills! Also, when I get inspired there is no stopping me, and I’ll work until I can’t keep my eyes open. I just got really into sewing at the beginning of this year, so I can’t wait for summer when I have all the time in the world! Good luck and happy sewing!

Hi Stacey! I checked out your website and I like your sketching style. Very stylish! I particularly like the trenchcoat in your other designs section. I wish I could be as fluid with my sketching. I tend to get very technical and try to make everything perfect which makes it all look too stiff. I really enjoy pattern making and this website has been very inspiring to me. I will soon be uploading some of my patterns to this site and I am working on some tutorials too. All in good time = ). I am a full-time fashion design student so my time is limited right now. You seem like a fun person. I look forward to seeing what you come up with. Take care! xoxo Amy
