Hi Carolyn, It’s so good to hear from you!, really don’t get me wrong, but I was beginning to get worry about you, I thought that you had big problems with your wedding dress. Thanks for adding me to your facebook friends’ list.
Take things with calm, everything is gonna be perfect for your wedding!, I think you have the most important things set up, by the way did you hire a photographer?? That’s very important.
Well I got back to sewing I finished my skirt, (check it in the creations page) I also did a How to, about a sunglasses bag. Next week I’m beginning classes, Thank God this is my last year!!! … that also means I won’t have too much time for sewing.. but I’ll see, I will organize my time!. Regards, karen

Hi Carolyn, Thanks for the site, I’m looking for it right now, There in Orlando I bought a bargain book, for $4.99, a quilt kit for beginners.
Guess what Carolyn, my aunt gave us a great surprise, and I am in LAS VEGAS!!!! I’m so excited, this place is beautiful. I never expected to be here. On sunday we went to the mountains just 45 min, from vegas and i got to see snow.
How is your wedding dress doing anyway??? I can’t wait to see it.
    xoxo from vegas.

Hey, that wedding dress is gorgeous. I agree on the fabric and the short sleeve version is better, but this dress has huge potential. Monique L’huillier had a similar dress in one of her collections which was beautiful.
I don’t have an Etsy page. I was referring to a special that we from BurdaStyle do together with Etsy. It won’t be up till a couple of weeks, but I will let you know.

Hey, I just read in your status that you are sewing your wedding dress! That is so cool! I am actually just doing a little special for Etsy on wedding dresses, basically on variations that you can do for your own individual dress, based on BurdaStyle dresses. If you have an idea or if you want to share yours, let me know!

well, now I got some time for sewing because I’m in vacations, I begin classes last week of March. This career is very exhausting, too many projects a works, I sew when I have a time free and do little by little. Sometimes in the middle of the semester I realize that I have weeks of no sewing, and I do any short project… sewing relaxes me, don’t know why yet…

Painting and woodwork! He is an artist like you, that’s good!. My boyfriend is studying architecture too, we met at college, but he’s favorite thing is Surfing.. can´t beat that! hahaha

No worries! One word about the transfer paper, is it is not good for transferring really fine details, so if you do it on a shirt it will need to be a largeish design or very simple. What a cool fiance, to give you an antique sewing machine! so romantic!

Hi SewLikeCarolyn! I love antique sewing machines too :o) I’ve been collecting the old mechanical attachments, it’s sooooo addictive! And I LOOOOOVE Amy Butler fabrics.
For my bird cushion, I transferred the image onto the material using pattern-transfer paper like this here – you put it face-down, then put your picture on top, and then use something sorta pointy to trace over all the lines. Then I did the free-motion embroidery over the lines.

Hi Carolyn! (I suppose I can call you like that!), I agree with you, it’s so exciting to find a group of people interested in something so wonderful as sewing, charing and meeting other people around the world it’s so nice.

It was so sad for me when I searched in this website for members from my country and I found no one! Here young ladies don’t even know how to sew a button. The few people I know that like to sew are ladies over 50 years old, … and my sister she is 17… hahaha.
I’ll send the pattern to you right now.
I hope I could see soon your wedding dress! By the way where are you from and how old are you?

    regards, Karen
